Courtyard by Marriott Poughkeepsie

Would I recommend this Courtyard Marriott? Probably not. Yes, there is a courtyard, if that strikes your fancy. I had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the parking lot, so if I wanted to enjoy it i had to go walk across it. The room was fine, comfy bed, good shower pressure. Very little road noise. This hotel offers no complimentary coffee or water in the lobby or rooms. You can crack a $5 bottle of water in your room if you so desire. No coffee is crazy. I do not want to pay $3.50 for a cup of "starbucks bistro" discount coffee. The fitness center is outdated and full of broken equipment. There is a peloton but it does not turn on. There are treadmills and ellipticals that squeak and clunk and groan when you use them- embarrassing! Probably the thing I liked the LEAST about this hotel is it's single entry/ exit on a divided highway meant having to rip a U turn either coming or going to/from my destination. Just tacks on 3 minutes either way.

The place is nice and very clean. Staff was great as well. They charge 10 dollars to park which is wild to me. I spent 2 nights there and my room wasnt cleaned at any point. Its a nice hotel but there are better options close by

Very comfortable rooms. Clean bathrooms and overall facility. Good location close to plenty of shopping, food, and entertainment. I will be returning for my next stay.
