Carlitos Mexican Bar and Grill

Carlito's Mexican Bar and Grill is a hidden gem mid-island Hilton Head. It is a great laid-back Mexican eatery offering mouthwatering burritos and fajitas, along with full flavored craft margaritas. Carlito's has a full menu and bar so you and your family will not be disappointed. There is plenty of free parking, fun umbrella shaded patio, or spacious cool dining room. Lucy does a terrific job greeting everyone and making you feel welcome. We went to Carlito's for numerous excellent tasty lunches and a few dinners. Cinco de Mayo was hoping! Entree servings are piping hot, large, and chock full of flavor. Their craft Margaritas are delicious. Recommend the Sour Apple Frozen, Strawberry, Mango, or Pineapple Margarita's - wow super tasty and great colors. We are HHI Foodies and Carlito's food and beverage is a hit. Great for everyone - kids and families will really enjoy the hospitality and good cuisine.

Carlitos Hawaiian is a must try. Beautiful presentation in a half of a pineapple. Shrimp and jalapeño sliced and bacon wrapped and on top of a huge portion of chicken, beef and shrimp fajitas with mixed veggies. All the meat was cooked perfectly. The pineapple instilled a perfect amount of sweetness. You won't be disappointed. There is enough to share between 2 people. We also tried the chicken, beef and shrimp fajitas. It was all amazing. The facility itself is well loved, a bit run down and the bathrooms are super dark, but the warmth of the staff and their care far outweighs the negatives. Highly recommend the place.

The ladies at the front were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a Verde and Bandera Burrito for pick up to take back to our place. Super generous portions, so delicious - packed full of fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned meat. Will definitely come back. Excellent value (flavor, portion, ingredients) for money!!!
