AC Hotel Pittsburgh Southpointe

Great location, lovely staff but the hotel is a reminder of what's going wrong in the industry. Perhaps it's the AC flavor, but having background knowledge of the hospitality world, this hotel is designed with all the things the industry is doing wrong. Beautiful spaces yes, clean, extremely, thoughtful little "extras" but forgetting the basics. Hotel size kings replacing the traditional size kings that previous generations of hotels provided, streamlining room layouts for the same of something that photographs well but lacks warmth or soft surfaces. Gone are the days of soft towels, luxurious mattresses and supportive pillows. We built an industry on sleep, only to turn it into an industry built on sleek. Cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the staff is. AC just leaves me nostalgic for what the industry was when we emphasized the hospitality basics over the aesthetic ones.

We used the AC Hotel at Southpointe for our wedding room block. From the first tour, we loved the AC Hotel and Mercedes has been nothing short of amazing to work with! She is organized, bubbly, and was just as excited as we were! The hotel was so clean, modern, and has the perfect vibe for all our guests and wedding party. The rehearsal dinner was magical, the food was incredible, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the evening out on the patio was the perfectly relaxing and fun night before! Cannot recommend this hotel enough, it made our wedding weekend perfect!

Our two-day stay was absolutely wonderful! This hotel offers the perfect balance of quiet relaxation and productive workspaces. The fitness center is well-equipped, and the entire property is exceptionally clean. We also loved how genuinely pet-friendly and welcoming the staff were throughout our visit. To top it all off, the complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a fantastic variety of high-quality options each morning. We highly recommend this hotel!
